IBZ Mullah aka Wheezy! is an artist who is no stranger to using his power toofreestyle over beats to make something special. Starting his Rap career on a Secondary School Playground in Deptford where artists like late Artist Showkey made roots Ibz Mullah was always keen to impress with an uncanny take on flows and content. Exploring the Genre of Grime he found a voice and then Drill came. Initially, he messed with the energy but grew tired of seeing the lives of young people heavily influenced by it die away, physically and spiritually too. After meeting his now Mentor he took the bold step to develop his sound in a way that he felt he could be authentic to his values and make the impact he could make. When it came to his Debut Single “STEP STEP” produced by K.V.S the case was no different, AUTHENTIC VALUES + A HORSE TROTTING MILITARY STYLE BEAT meant there was going to be some FIRE in the WORKS.

Having originally penned this song as a freestyle on a CHIRAQ style Beat from 2018 it was important to turn this song into a message and ironically while working on the Refix during lockdown King Vito Speaks started something around the accapella, not really sure how to approach IBZ Mullah’s flow it King Vito Speaks dug deep for inspiration and landed on the PIANO Chords that underpin the beat. Ibz Mullah had already delivered on his end with powerful stand-out vocals that were begging for the full treatment. Inspired by the skipping flow Ibz Mullah delivered, King Vito Speaks followed through with a skipping rimshot which bounced to and fro as IBZ spat his bars. A Vocal sample was then added to underpin the beat and becomes a significant feature in the song’s production in multiple instances.

Digging further into the history of the song King Vito Speaks reveals that the sample of IBZ rapping on this new beat was sent to Ibz Mullah who liked it but during the pandemic, the process of completing the beat was put on the back burner somehow perhaps through a moment of conversation fellow U.Y.T Collective artist Refrain heard the sample and went on what seemed like at least 6 Months of questioning when the complete beat and song would be released. Through Refrain’s persistence, the original beat was found and the song was completed in time for the U.Y.T Collectives E.P release as a part of a collective of other songs in the lineup.
